This Agreement governs the purchase and use of a Day Pass issued by Better IRL Co., doing business as San Francisco Social Club ("SFSC," "we," or "us"), granting the purchaser access to designated amenities at 30 Sheridan Street, San Francisco, California (the "Venue") following the conclusion of a specific SFSC event. By purchasing a Day Pass, the purchaser ("User") agrees to be bound by these terms.
1. Terminology
Day Pass: a single-use, paid credential granting the User non-exclusive access to designated Amenities at the Venue following a specific Event, purchased separately from Event admission.
Event: the specific SFSC-hosted event at the Venue that the Day Pass is tied to, as identified at the time of purchase.
Amenities: the non-alcoholic facilities and offerings made available to Day Pass holders, which may include lounge seating, games, workspace, and Wi-Fi, as designated by SFSC from time to time and excludes any area still in active use for another booked event.
Access Window: the period beginning at the time the User checks in and signs this Agreement ("Check-In") and ending twelve (12) hours after Check-In. If a User checks in after 12:00 PM (noon), the 12-hour Access Window rolls over into the next calendar day. Access does not carry over to any other date and is not pro-rated for partial use.
User: the individual who purchases and holds the Day Pass. A Day Pass is personal to the User; it may not be shared, transferred, or used by any other individual.
2. Access and Conditions of Use
A Day Pass is valid only in connection with the specific Event it is purchased for, and only on the date of that Event. It has no value or validity as a standalone product on any other day.
A Day Pass does not include or permit guests. Access is limited strictly to the individual named on the Day Pass; SFSC may deny entry to anyone unable to verify their identity as the named User.
The Day Pass grants access to Amenities only, on a non-exclusive basis. SFSC retains possession and control of the Venue at all times, and the Venue as a whole is not reserved for or dedicated to any single User.
Amenities and their availability are at SFSC's discretion and may be limited on a given night by ongoing operations, private bookings, or capacity.
SFSC may end a User's access at any time, without refund, if the User's conduct disrupts staff, other guests, or Venue operations, or otherwise violates these terms.
3. Purchase and Payment
The Day Pass is priced at $49.00, payable in full at the time of purchase, as a paid add-on purchased separately from Event admission.
Payment is due in full at the time of purchase. Access will not be granted, and the Access Window will not be extended, for unpaid or incomplete transactions.
All Day Pass sales are final and non-refundable, including in cases of early departure, late arrival, or the User's choice not to use a purchased pass.
Applicable taxes will be displayed at checkout prior to payment.
4. Identity Verification and Photo Capture
To confirm that the Day Pass is being used by the individual who purchased it, SFSC requires each User to check in at the Venue prior to using their Access Window. As part of check-in:
The User must present a valid, government-issued photo ID.
SFSC staff will take a photograph of the User's ID at check-in for the sole purpose of verifying identity and confirming the individual matches the Day Pass purchaser.
The photograph will be retained by SFSC for thirty (30) days solely for identity-verification, fraud-prevention, and security purposes, and will not be used for any other purpose or shared with third parties except where required by law or to protect SFSC's safety and legal interests.
The User may request deletion of their ID photograph after the retention period, or sooner, by contacting SFSC directly, subject to any legal or security obligation to retain it longer.
SFSC will take reasonable measures to store ID photographs securely. Entry may be declined if the User is unable or unwilling to present valid ID or permit this photograph to be taken.
By purchasing and using a Day Pass, the User consents to the collection and limited retention of their ID photograph as described above.
5. Alcohol
The Day Pass does not include and does not entitle the User to alcohol or bar service. Any alcohol service offered as part of the preceding Event ends when the Event concludes, and Day Pass access begins only after that point.
6. Cancellation
Because the Day Pass is a same-day, event-linked add-on, it is not eligible for cancellation, rescheduling, or refund once purchased. If the Event itself is cancelled or rescheduled by SFSC, any Day Passes purchased for that Event will be refunded in full as the User's sole and exclusive remedy.
7. Card on File and Damage Charges
As a condition of check-in, the User must provide a valid payment card, which SFSC will retain on file through the end of the Access Window and for up to seven (7) days thereafter, solely to secure payment for any damage the User causes to the Venue, its furnishings, or its equipment ("Incidental Damage"). SFSC will not place a hold on the card at check-in; the card is retained only as an authorized payment method to be used if Incidental Damage is identified.
By providing a payment card at check-in, the User authorizes SFSC to charge that card for the reasonable cost of repairing or replacing any Incidental Damage directly caused by the User, up to the actual documented cost — SFSC will not charge a punitive or inflated amount.
Before charging the card, SFSC will make reasonable efforts to notify the User (by email, text, or in person) describing the damage and the amount to be charged, with supporting documentation (e.g., photos or a repair/replacement invoice) provided within seven (7) business days of the charge.
If the User disputes a charge, the User may contact SFSC directly within fourteen (14) days of the charge to request review before or after the charge is processed.
If the card on file is declined or the charge is reversed, the User remains liable for the full cost of the Incidental Damage and agrees to pay it by an alternate method within seven (7) days, plus any reasonable service charge SFSC incurs as a result of the decline or reversal.
SFSC will delete or discard retained card information in accordance with its standard payment-processor practices once the retention window above has passed and no Incidental Damage claim is pending.
8. User Responsibilities
Conduct themselves professionally and lawfully, and not engage in conduct that is disruptive, dangerous, or damaging to SFSC, its staff, its other guests, or the Venue.
Be responsible for any damage the User causes to the Venue, its furnishings, or its property, and reimburse SFSC for reasonable costs of repair or replacement.
Not remove, alter, or damage Venue furniture, fixtures, or equipment.
Vacate the Venue and remove personal belongings by the end of the Access Window. SFSC is not responsible for items left behind.
Comply with all posted house rules and reasonable instructions from SFSC staff.
9. SFSC's Rights and Responsibilities
SFSC will keep Venue Amenities in reasonable working order during the Access Window, subject to ordinary operational limitations.
SFSC retains the right to block or end a User's access at its discretion, including for conduct described in Section 2.
SFSC may modify the scope or availability of Amenities at any time without liability to the User.
SFSC may amend these terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of purchase governs that Day Pass.
10. Liability and Indemnity
The User waives any claims against SFSC and Better IRL Co. for injury, loss, or theft of property occurring at the Venue during the Access Window, except to the extent directly caused by SFSC's gross negligence or willful misconduct. SFSC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, including loss of business or data. The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless SFSC, Better IRL Co., and their respective officers, employees, and agents from claims, losses, costs, and expenses arising out of the User's use of the Day Pass or breach of this Agreement.
11. General
This Agreement is personal to the User and may not be assigned or transferred.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California.
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
This Agreement, together with any Event-specific terms disclosed at purchase, is the entire agreement between the User and SFSC regarding the Day Pass and supersedes any prior understanding on the subject.
